Skincare — Dubai Concept

kalmene.

Concept study. KALMENE is a designed brand, not a real client. The work shown demonstrates how we'd build identity for a minimalist skincare line.

One product. Designed properly. The calm of a slow morning, in a bottle that earns its place on the shelf.

The kind of skincare brand that doesn't shout.

Brand identity

KALMENE is the studio a dermatologist opens when they decide the brand they've been buying is louder than the product. One serum. One cream. One cleanser. The brand is the restraint: cream, warm white, soft black, a single serif wordmark, the kind of packaging you keep on the counter long after the product runs out.

If a quiet skincare line asked for a brand that wouldn't age.

The brief we wrote for this concept: build the brand a thoughtful formulator would commission if they wanted the packaging to outlast the trend cycle. No claims of transformation. No seven-step routines. The product does the work; the brand holds the line quietly.

Constraint: nothing on the packaging or website should feel like it belongs to a specific year. The wordmark should look as right in 2030 as in 2026.

"The product does the work. The brand should hold the line quietly."

A designed system. One deliverable. Every detail considered.

Brand identity

Lowercase italic serif wordmark in soft black. Cream background. One accent tone — a quiet sage that reads as botanical without being decorative. Cormorant Garamond throughout, set generously, never tight. The packaging is glass, the label is letterpress, the typography carries the brand more than the imagery does.

The flat-lay, in the same light.

A designed system, not a shipped business.

Concept study. No real business outcomes. The identity shown is designed to demonstrate how a minimalist skincare line could be built: wordmark, type system, packaging logic, and a photographic discipline that does the work the product itself does. Use this as a reference for the kind of brand we build, not a claim about a real client.
